<p>I would say you have a fair chance at Mines. Your SAT falls within the school’s middle 50 (actually slightly above average), and your GPA is pretty good. Your ECs show that you have an interest in your field and that you do things other than academics. Solid shot. Good luck!</p>

<p>I believe you have better than a 75% chance of getting in. What math are you in? CSM doesn’t require SATIIs but did you happen to take the math 1 or 2? Two things to do that are helpful: contact/email the admin office at CSM and personally request information and express your interest; apply early, really early.</p>

<p>If you’re applying to a fine school like Colorado Mines, why isn’t South Dakota School of Mines & Technology on your radar as well? You will be an auto-admit at SDSM&T. These universities are comparable and are both excellent STEM schools that are well regarded by engineers nationwide.</p>
