Chance me for Colorado State and CU Boulder

I am a high school senior in South Windsor Connecticut. My older sister went to Colorado State and she loved it, however when i visited Boulder i fell in love. I've heard pro's and cons for both schools and if I get in I have no idea which I will chose. I was wondering if anyone knew if I had a chance to get in.
My class rank QPA: 17.1
Class rank: 59/374
GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1560- LOW I KNOW!
Activities: National Honor Society, basketball team, Interact Club, band, I'm a tutor in my schools homework club. I spend my summers volunteering at the Chamber of Commerce, and I'm in charge of my schools Mr. SWHS competition. Will my activities out weigh my bad SAT Scores?
Thanks so much!

Additionally, the reason the GPA is so low compared to my class rank is because i’ve taken 7 A.P classes.

what major? Engineering, you are probably accepted, but it is close. Everywhere else you are in easily. Note: My experience is anecdotal, from the info I have picked up talking to all sorts of majors.

Thanks! And it’s the school of arts and science with a major in political science.

I am a current freshman at CU.
I got in last year with a 3.25 GPA, 1600 SAT Scores
I did come from out of state and a private high school
I had a respected job in high school that was rather unique but nonetheless my grades were pretty average.
I applied into the business school (leeds) but got accepted just to the general, open option arts & sciences school at CU.

If you do choose to attend, definitely try to get Farrand as your dorm. It is the main, most desirable on campus.

If you can’t get Farrand - try for Baker. Baker and Libby are similar but Baker has much bigger rooms!

ALSO - I didn’t apply til mid January - and I found out I was accepted at the end of February, so it’s a quick turn-around. I found out online on that portal and then a large envelope comes in the mail!

Thank you so much I hope I get in!!

I just got accepted and I plan on attending CU in the fall I was wondering why is Farrand the best besides it’s location? are the dorm rooms nice?
