Chance me for:
Columbia
UPenn
NYU
Dartmouth
Duke
UCBerkeley
UChicago

Thanks in advance!

whats your intended major?

Economics or Accounting

As an Asian international, undoubtedly the most competitive pol there is in top college admissions, you need to apply wider. You have great stats, but add some schools that are not on every international’s list.

Forget NYU and Berkeley for any aid, Penn and Chicago have very little.

Stats are honestly, fantastic - however, through essays your going to have a find a way to really differentiate yourself from other applicants.

In terms of financial aid, Keep in mind that columbia is need aware, and that Duke only expects to admit 20 - 25 foreign students who need fin aid.
I wouldn’t expect any aid from NYU and Berkeley.

Holy CRAP your stats are literally nearly as good as they can be.

You’ll walk into NYU and Berkeley; UPenn and Columbia are unpredictable but if you don’t get in, I don’t know who can.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1301674-chance-nervous-junior-brown-ed.html

Do you think not applying for financial aid would increase my chances?

Honestly, no clue - I’m sure it probably does increase them a little bit - though, not dramatically.

That being said, if you can afford to go = don’t apply for aid.
If you can’t afford to go without aid= apply for fin aid.

Yes, especially at Penn and Chicago.

If you applied for financial aid at all except Berkeley which I don’t think has financial for internationals:
Columbia - no
UPenn - no
NYU - yes but they won’t give you a good package
Dartmouth - maybe
Duke - no
UCBerkeley - yes
UChicago - no

Like Waverly said, you need to apply for a wider range of schools.

Grinnell and Macalester are generous schools.

Yes, of course not applying for aid multiplies your chances. Even St the “need blind” for intnls school, they have a limited budget which they save for kids from countries without full pay choices.
