Chance me for Columbia, Penn, Brown and Cornell

Sooo… Ivy day is coming up and I’ve never been this stressed in my life. I think this waiting process is as stressful as the application itself. Anyways, please chance me for Columbia, Penn, Brown, and Cornell! I know these are very, very competitive schools and I only have a slight chance of getting in, if any. (Of the four, Brown is my first choice. Other three I applied just because why not. :stuck_out_tongue: Many people want to go to the Ivies and I thought it would be a waste of my opportunity if I don’t even give them a try! I find all of them very attractive tho, after doing some research)

Asian female in Los Angeles, very competitive public high school, applied as chemistry major
Pretty high income bracket, but still applying for financial-aid (family reasons)

Accepted: Boston College, UCSD, UCLA, Case Western
Deferred at Brown for ED
Denied: Northwestern, JHU, WUSTL (yikes… got three in a row last week)
Waiting on 4 schools listed above & Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, and USC

GPA: 3.89uw/4.89w
ACT: 34 one seating
SAT: 2230 one seating
Subject tests: 800 Korean, 800 Math II, 770 Chem, did bad on US History so didn’t send
APs: Chem (4), Psych (4), Stats (5), Physics 1(3), US History (5), CompSci (4), currently taking Physics C (both), AP Lang, US Govt, MicroEcon, and Calc BC

Major ECs:
Math Club - President, all four years, got a letter of rec from advisor (who was also my math teacher)
Engineering Club - VP, three years, multiple team awards; we build a boat lol; used experience from here as my commonapp essay
TSA TEAMS - team captain, three years, two awards at national level as a team
Community Orchestra - first clarinet, 200 hours of community service
Science research - 2 years, honorable mention at district level
Selected to attend cosmos CA summer science program this past summer; research based one-month program at UC campus
National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), National Chinese Honor Society, CSF

Your GPA & standardized test scores are very solid, but for some arguably low AP scores. Your ECs seem pretty standard for your interests, but it always comes down to how you can frame them. Just saying “math club” doesn’t tell me or the ad-com much because I have little indication of the effect you were able to cause through your position. Hopefully your teacher may be able to shine a light on that. Overall, I’ll say:
Columbia: Reject
Penn: Reject/Waitlist
Brown: Waitlist/Accept
Cornell: Waitlist/Accept

Best of luck! Chance me back? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1966406-chance-me-upenn-ed-yale-brown-princeton-etc-will-chance-back-p1.html
