What are your service activities?

In mayor’s council we do one community service event per month (each one is about 4-6 hours, so it ends up between 30-40 hours of service in there) and then in National Honor Society I will get a medal for doing 40 hours of community service per year for both junior and senior year (total of 80 hours in there) and then beta I do about 20 hours per year, but there isn’t one specific Organization in the community that I work with.

Columbia ED- Reach
MIT: EA- Reach
UChicago: EA- Reach
Georgia Tech: EA- Match bc in state
UPenn: RD- Reach

All these school are extremely hard to get into. Sorry that I can’t give you something more. It will all come down to the essays. Maybe the SAT Subject tests are a little low, specifically I’m thinking about MIT, but those can be corrected.

They are all reaches, but I am 100% sure you will get in.

I think most of the ECs are self serving and not outward facing. You really need to do some community volunteering on your own.

Alright I’ll make sure to do that in my free time

Just to update anyone:

MIT accepted early
Columbia deferred
Uchicago deferred
Georgia Tech accepted plus Presidential scholarship invite (not doing it, because my financial aid at MIT is amazing)

Grats!

Great news! Congratulations! Did you ever retake math2 or leave it at 730?

Oops should have updated! Yes I did and I got a 790 the second time @Sam-I-Am

Nicely done!

Thanks!
