and I could take AP government. Is that a better Idea? But.. I dont want to stress too much.
I also realize I have no spectacular qualities.
I was also wondering what possible things I should do over summer? it's to late for summer programs or internships. maybe volunteer at my homeless shelter? Or take another college course?
Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks for reading this guys

your stats sound good but columbia (As i know it) is known to be notoriously unpredictable.

I worked at columbia as a researcher during my high school years, have similar academics compared to yours (you seem a bit better than what i had, 3.61 gpa, 2120 SAT), and gotten one of their own professors (who’s pretty much at the top of the faculty hierarchy) to write my letter, and i still got waitlisted (and eventually rejected)

traditionally, their engineering school is EASIER to get into than columbia college. if you really really like columbia, and you’re not a dude, go for barnard.

my 2 cents and experiences.

Columbia REACH
Stanford OUT OF REACH
Cornell MATCH

Brown REACH

Berkely LOW REACH
UCLA LOW REACH
UCSD MATCH
UBC DON’t KNOW
McGill MATCH

Soze what makes you feel those?

and I thought Berkely was towards a realistic? and easier to get in then cornell?
Oh I am a California resident, and part of the ELC thing, if that helps

Too late to edit, but Do you guys have any other tips for me inorder to get into Columbia or Brown? Those are my two favorite Ivy schools.
Like for the next 3 months, any ideas?
Because I know that I have to write a good essay, get good recommendation letters.
Like anything in specific?

Columbia and Stanford are impossible to predict, but you’re definitely in the running.

Brown’s a reach for anyone. Cornell will be a reach, but not by much. The rest I’d put according to your predictions.

I would say your senior year is too difficult, except you aced your junior year. You can likely handle it. Really work towards volleyball captain. Otherwise, I don’t know how much more you can do. I’m realllllyyy impressed.

To everyone, I am a male, if that changes anything
@peggysue
I play volleyball in the spring, so I cant confirm that I am captain in my application
