Are the SAT 2 scores predicted scores or are they actual scores? If they’re actual scores, I would say you have a great chance as long as you can bring that SAT score up to 2150-2200. BTW are you applying to SEAS?

The SAT II’s are real scores.
I took Bio freshman year, Math I last year, and chemistry last year.
I’m going to try Physics and Math II this year.

The SEAS program is pretty tempting, and my strenghts (& interests) lie in the math/science category. I think I will end up applying for SEAS, their acceptance rate isn’t too bad for an Ivy League.
I want to attend Brown, but Columbia would be excellent yet, hope I can get into either one.

What are your plans for Columbia? I’m guessing your stats would be a bit more impressive than mine lol.

I plan on EDing to Columbia SEAS. However I don’t expect much since obviously no Ivy League school is easy to get into. I would say your stats are better than mine because of your EC’s. Are you from New Jersey?

Nope, I’m down in VA, so I have a lot of options for public universities like UVA, Tech, most of which are considered public ivy’s. I’m also going to end up ED’ing to Columbia, just because I don’t think Brown has a program that can match up to SEAS. I want to do pre-med there and their website really makes it sound good, so I have my fingers crossed. The only thing holding me back is freshman year and that SAT score, which can be rectified. Is Columbia your only hopeful in the Ivy’s?

Ya lol I also want to do pre-med there.

Ahh, well I’m sure I won’t offer you that much competition. I’m just going to start working on my “package” after AP exams, going to add photography and stuff, make it look artsy? We’ll see, good luck and thank you for your opinion.

Umm…gpa will def hurt you, but it seems you have an upward curve (junior + senior is really impressive) so its not too bad. SAT 2’s are perfect (literally and figuratively haha). If you got your SAT to around 2250-2300 range you should have a great chance of getting in since your ec’s are already over the top.
So as long you write a good essay and you get good recs you should not have a problem

Good luck!

You have a pretty good shot.

Thispakistanigir!
good chance everywhere!

we have the same GPA. omghahaha
but i didnt mess up freshman year. your rank rocks. that way you can say you had a hard school. do you??

BTW list your self as middle eastern.(you’ll have a better chance)

Pakistani’s by most consensus are considered Middle Eastern.

Pakistan’s in Asia, and that’s usually why I always put it.

When it comes around for college app’s I’ll def put Middle-Eastern, they’re more of a minority.
