Applying for Financial Aid- Yes
Any chance on me getting a scholarship here? & Are there any other schools(in the Northeast) that you may recommend in my range? Also, would u recommend BU or NEU for compsci? Thanks for all the help!!
You’re fine. I’m a comp sci major class of 2021 with a 1360 SAT, 98.5 GPA, and no extracurriculars outside of sports and a job. I received 50k/year in financial aid an no merit.
By scholarship do you mean fin aid or merit ?
I would say no to merit, fin aid is personal based on your finances, no grades you posted.
While you have a decent chance to get in, your SAT is a low for a merit scholarship IMO.

“Trustee Scholars are, on average, in the top 2 percent of their high school class, with 4.0 GPA and 1544 SAT (34 ACT) averages. Presidential Scholars average in the top 3 percent, with 3.9 GPA and 1531 SAT (34 ACT) averages.”
These are the big merit scholarships and BU is very keen on high SAT scores.
Fin aid can be impacted by grades/test scores too.
Careful about making assumptions. My son (current hs senior) had 4.1W, 1580
SAT, 35 ACT, top 14% rank, NMF, strong courseload and ECs, and did not get into CS, although he got into other equally/more competitive schools. We found the whole process rather unpredictable. No matter who you are, you should have some safety schools.
