That is great!
What is your topic?

I’ve been working on the Cornell Engineering essay since I am applying ED. The topic is: describe you interest in Engineering or an idea you have and how Cornell can help. Having a tough time thinking up an idea the interest part is easy

Cornell CoE (ED) -reach
Harvey Mudd -reach
UNH - never heard of it
JHU - reach
CMU - low reach
Union - never heard of it
Duke (Pratt) - reach
Wash U - low reach
Vanderbilt - high match
Bucknell - match

You can chance me back if you want to, I only ever created one so you can probably find it pretty easily on my list of posts.

^Thanks

Looking through your thread, my post would be redundant as I’m sure you have a good idea of your chances by now. If you still want me to, just pm me

You can pretty much get into all of them! great job!

^Thanks for your optimism! :D

You don’t really stand out as an applicant in my opinion.
Your EC’s aren’t centralized around one passion.
And your GPA/test scores could go up a bit.
You should look at some more safety schools that interest you!
Otherwise, most of these schools are a bit too reachy.
Good Luck!

Cornell CoE (ED)- slight to mid reach. Your GPA is well below average.
Harvey Mudd- reach
UNH- match
JHU- slight reach/match
CMU- same
Union- don’t know
Duke (Pratt)-slight reach
Wash U-match
Vanderbilt- slight to mid reach
Bucknell-don’t know

Good luck. IMO, you should be able to get into at least 2 of those non-match schools.

If you get the chance:

Working in the school IT department 4 hrs a week, running the tech end of the school radio station, and my internship doesn’t show some focus towards computer science?

I mean in the dorm I stand out, therefore I’m a student leader/RA. I like kids, so I do big brothers big sisters. I worked in the community kitchen once and really liked all the people there so I organize a program with that and my school. I am a prominent conservative voice on campus, so I got chosen by the previous leader to run the group after he graduated

I guess the question I’m trying to ask is that don’t schools like to see you doing what you like? Granted not ALL my EC’s are related to science or technology, because although that’s where I can see my future career, science and tech aren’t the only things I’m good at or passionate about.

oh and copied over from the 2nd page, because I don’t think anyone saw this:

JHU: 3.5X, 20XX, 27 (I have the highest ACT score by far for people who have applied)
