(Yes bad gpas. But I had very bad family problems such as my family sides were suing, law suits and etc. Freshmen year was like 3.1's and my junior were like 4.8's. Do you think they might take it into consideration as a huge grade trend?)

I'm pretty sure I will get a great Recommendation for my teachers since they liked me.

Very good chance IMO. Don’t retake the ACT; 35 is a stellar score and will certainly make you very competitive.

Don’t worry about your freshman year GPA. Tell Cornell about your problems that year and also it’s much more impressive to see solid A’s in AP classes taken in junior/sophomore year than honors classes in freshman year, so don’t worry.

Which college in cornell are you applying to and are you a female and what’s your ethnicity?

You dont apply to law as an undergraduate. Im guessing you will apply to arts and sciences? In that case i think you have a good chance for getting in ed, about average maybe a bit higher if your rank is high

I think you’re almost a shoe-in at Cornell, but I wouldn’t want to be too confident. Keep working hard and make your essays rock, but you have a great shot.

You’re application is stellar… except for your GPA.
I wouldn’t really agree with those saying that you’re pretty much guaranteed a spot at Cornell.
Having a weighted GPA of only a 4.0 is extremely low in my opinion,
so I’d say you’re at a greater disadvantage than other applicants.
