Chance me for Cornell/Columbia ED?

Say I apply to either Cornell or Columbia as early decision... what are my chances? No chance for HYPS probably... but I'll leave that up to you guys. :)

EC's include 250+ hours volunteering at senior center, American Legion Boys State, possibly president/VP/officer of FBLA in school, stock investment, and maybe a summer internship.

I know EC's are REALLY lacking - maybe I'll squeeze something else in but I'm really not an EC person.

Also how bad are those three B+'s junior year? I'm sure they would be overshadowed by the six AP's and A's senior year... right? Maybe?

Thanks guys I really don't know Cornell/Columbia standards that well so...

Your grades are good, but the selective schools pay especial attention to extracurricular activities (since most applicants have excellent statistics). You know that yours are very weak, and they will significantly reduce your chances. Good luck!

althought you have that statisitcs you really dont have strong ECs; i would say they are both high reaches

I’d bet $10 you’d get into Cornell ED, contingent on your essays not being dealbreakers. The 2400 goes a long way at Cornell (and as long as you’re top 10% in your class, I think you’ll be fine)

Hey guy, I can sympathize with you. Got a 2400 first sitting and then lazed around in ECs till now. Columbia ED, realistically I don’t think you would get in. Cornell ED, I am not sure. My grades are just a little higher than yours. Curious, if you have grade 12 grades, doesn’t that mean that Cornell’s deadline has passed? Are you planning on a gap year?
