Thanks for your honest opinion!
@ptba98 oh, I see. Actually ED will give you a better chance. I. think Cornell acceptance rate is much higher for ED. Good luck on your app. And don’t worry, u do not have to do to ivy for a good education. There are a lot of amazing schools in US
thank you the thing i dont like about ED is that its binding. i havent made up my mind of where I want to attend yet so i think I’ll RD. good luck to you too
@Brinette UofC is such an amazing school although its not on my list i really really admire UofC and pppl who go there. I think they have EA non-binding u can EA i like EA schools much more than ED because they allow u to be more flexible
SCEA does not require to drop EA at other schools, just other “private” schools. It would not be fair to anyone if people were allowed to do EA at all the Ivys. They are asking you to show them that they are your #1, but are not binding you bc they know cost wise it may not work out. It is a trade off…you show your love and semi committment, and they consider that in the process.
If you want to apply to multiple schools and have no #1, I’d suggest all RD. The EA/ED boost, if there even is one in these schools, would not be worth it for you.
@HRSMom thanks a lot, but the problem is i need to apply to a lot of private schools because public and state schools don’t give much as to international students. Thanks for your info.
