Chance me for Cornell?? Or Berkeley?

Im in my senior year at school. Im from India so we dont have GPA's so i dont know exactly how to explain my grades...
Anyway,
my SAT score is - 770(math)
700(reading)
660 (writing)
total = 2130

Im giving the SAT again to try for a 2200 atleast.

PSAT junior year = 98 percentile

My SAT 2's are - 710 (literature)
740( Math level 2)

AP's - English language - 4
English Literature- 5

Toefl (its an exam which tests non-US citizens' proficiency in english) - 112/120

Apart from these,
my school grades have been really good in my 9th and 10th grade, but dropped quite a bit in my 11th and 12th grade (junior and senior) because of an illness that i had to go through surgery for and stuff, so i got a D in one of those exams...my councellor will be putting in an explanation in my grade transcript explaining the drop...and im really worried about that.....so could that drastically affect my application??

My resume is pretty decent - with a combination of decent social service hours, a whole lot of hours with an environmental organization that ive been working with for over 2 years, certificates for writing competitions and stuff that i have won, and been published in magazines,i am debates captain in my school and have awards for activites and competitions in my native cultural language (Hindi).
I also have given 2 grade level exams in Piano...and also in Hindustani Classical Music (Indian music). I am also doing an internship for a company (almost been 6 months now)...
I was also selected to go to the UK for a cultural exchange based on a web based project my friends and i had done that won...and some other stuff that i cant think of right now...
I've done an internship with a risk management company, and have been an assistant to a journalist for a Times of India reporter.

This is the stuff i can think of right now...and im planning on applying to colleges like Cornell, Berkeley, Dartmouth, Barnard, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, Boston Univ, etc...
What do you think are my chances of getting into these places at the moment? Especially Cornell,Berkeley and NYU because these are my top 3...
Oh and i forgot, my sister is currently studying in Conell...so does that better my chances in any way?

Please help!! And do advise me if there's any way i could better my chances!! Im applying regular decision..

And my essay is looking pretty good...atleast my English teacher thinks so!

AND I PROMISE I'LL CHANCE BACK!!!!

Bumpppp…
Please help!! SOMEONEE!!!

You have a good shot for Berkeley. I’m not so sure about Cornell, as that will depend heavily on your essay and overall grades. If your writing is your strong point, then that will impress Cornell

Cheers~

Bumpppppppp!!

you have strong ecs but everything else is weak. Yo be honest, at those schools, your sat scores and subject test scores are below average. I say retake SAT 1 and try your best but have a few safeties on your college list.

Chance me back : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1233558-my-story-will-my-dream-schools-understand.html

you have strong ECs but I can’t really give you a strong response
to where you can get into because I don’t know your gpa. I feel like
you can definetely get into Berkeley but NYU and Cornell I’m kinda iffy about.
I think those will depend on your gpa. Btw…how are you planning on telling your
grades? If your not sure, be sure to call the UC people to ask…they probably
have a different criteria for international students.
Well, best of luck to you and God Bless

aite peacee

You have great ECs! I think your SAT’s are pretty good too. I know Cornell is really hard to get into. But, I think you have a good shot at Berkeley! good luck :)
