ik my extracurriculars are pretty weak, but i go to a more rural, small high school. hopefully admissions understands that. its a reach, but chance me?
What’s your weighted GPA? Your unweighted looks good, and your ACT score is perfect as it is and you have no real need to take the SAT. Your extracurriculars, however, are a bit scattered.
And i know my extracurriculars are pretty scattered lol. I want to try and enter a science fair to show my passion for biology, but idk if that’ll help. I’m just hoping my essays make up for it bc i have some pretty good stories to tell to them…
Well, you should be competitive to an extent at every school you listed, though you really ought to revise your list. Currently you lack any true safeties. UVM comes to mind; they’re good for environmental science. Furthermore, you’re all over the place: there’s small liberal arts colleges, elite privates, and big publics all in one. What state are you in-state for? Can your parents afford all these places?
I think that if you take the ACT and submit it, you don’t have to submit any of your SAT tests. If you take the SAT and the ACT and choose to send the SAT, you have to send all of them. If you choose to send the ACT, you have to send all of them. @a20171
OP, if you have not taken subject tests, I would advise you to take them at the end of junior year.
@a20171 Not for most colleges, but yes. Certainly not for all of the OP’s list (but most of them).
Keep in mind that individual schools have different policies. Harvard, for example, requires at least two Subject Tests in addition to either the SAT or ACT.

I live in Ohio, and both my parents are professors at OARDC, so most likely I’ll go to OSU.
But, my parents said if I made it into a really good school like Cornell, Colgate, Michigan, they’d help me pay for it, and since we’re not very wealthy I’m hoping I get some good financial aid.
I have safeties covered 100%, just didnt list them here bc I’m basically guranteed admittance (toledo and akron for anyone curious)
With a 36 ACT, you’ll probably get accepted to all those schools. Cornell and Northwestern are low reaches for you at most. The rest are basically guaranteed as long as you write somewhat decent essays, but you might get waitlisted by one or two of those schools because of yield protection. Also your tiny soap business sounds cool af. Good luck!
