I will have taken 8 AP classes, including senior year.
My senior year classes are: AP Chem, AP Lit, AP Gov, Spanish V, Calculus and like four other mandatory half year classes.
I have really good extracurriculars which include: President of Valley United Way Youth Leadership program, Captain and founder of my debate team, I am also president/leader of a few other clubs all having a strong emphasis on community service and volunteer work.
Major Awards: First Place LifeSmarts State Champion, Second Place in business law and ethics at DECA state competition, AP Scholar with Distinction, Questbridge Prep Scholar and Questbridge NCM Finalist.
Some hooks may be: Questbridge and being low-income. Gay(?)
If it helps, I think my essay for why cornell was pretty good. I was really specific with how their academic programs and social environment fit what I was looking for. I would give it like a 9/10.
