Chance me for Cornell Engineering(rejected as a freshmen) and Arts and Science, Vanderbilt, columbia, Notredame, Upenn what other colleges do u thing is a good match...

I was waitlisted at Carleton, do u think I have shot if i apply as a transfer there??

also, do u think applying as a physics major would be beneficial to get into these schools or should I go with engineering. At this point im unsure about which path i want to take between these two disciplines

Engineering is easier to get into than any of the arts and science schools(physics)

Honestly I think you have a really good shot at every one of these schools, however admissions is pretty much a crapshoot, especially at the ivies, so you never know. Just be sure to write a kick ass essay and obtain some stellar recs and you should be good to go.

I think the only thing that does not help you score a good school is your high school record. but since youve done pretty good in college , i think the college will look into that. As you said with the ivies its never sure. I really dont know about public school acceptances. i think goergetown columbia Upenn might be somewhat of a strech but definitely not impossible. But then again im just a freshmen i really dont have much knowledge in chancing anyone…
