Hi, I am a junior in Plano West Senior High School (note that Plano is a very competitive school district), and I wanted to know what my chances for getting into Cornell would be?

The vast majority of courses I have taken are either Honors or AP. I'm switching into Regulars Precalculus next semester, but I still plan to do some sort of Biology major. I don't know how much that's going to impact my chances of getting into Cornell...because I've done Honors all the way through high school. I plan to take AP Statistics during senior year. I know I'm supposed to have a strong math background, but I'm going through health issues at the moment and my grades are dropping in Precal, so my parents are telling me to transfer from the Honors class to the Regulars class in Precal. How much is that going to impact my chances of getting in?

The Precalculus program at my school happens to be extremely tough, and also, the best in the nation, according to one of my teachers. That teacher said that if we were making a C or lower in the class, our grades would drop by 10 points the next semester, so I am moving out of the class. I already have a C-, so things aren't looking too good, even though I am consistently getting extra help and studying for Precal all the time.

Here is my profile of stuff.

GPA (weighted): 3.92
SAT scores: 1900-2100
