I sort of copied this format from some thread I saw hehe. Anyways, any input would be very much appreciated. Btw, I am a junior.

I believe you have a good shot at Cornell ED.

Anyone else? I will chance back.

@CU123 any criticisms? Would be awesome to hear a few, I don’t mind the blunt truth!!

I don’t have any critique other than which school at Cornell are you applying to? First gen is a good hook and everything else is right in the zone for an ED admission to Cornell. Obviously a better score on the SAT helps but not required here.

You should be good… Idk what ur major is going to be but my advice would be to find something to do and do it we related to ur major… if it’s bio focus on SciOly… If it’s writing focusnon the newspaper… Chance back?

Everything looks pretty strong. Your GPA and class rank are obviously excellent, as are your course rigor and AP scores. Your SAT score could be slightly higher and might be worth another shot at, but I doubt it will be much of a problem at all.

If anything would be an issue, it might be your EC’s as they don’t really show a central focus – that said, I do get a sense that you are leaning towards the sciences, so you should emphasize the Medical Sciences Club, Science Olympiad, and internship, in addition to the tutoring and summer camp (for the volunteering aspect). This will all work well if you choose a STEM major.

I also feel as though being Asian and first-gen cancel each other out, but you don’t really have anything to worry about here. Your stats are great, and Cornell is well within range, especially through ED. Good luck!

EDIT:: I took the ACT, got 34C. 35E,35M,32R,35S
