Please assist me with Reach, Match and Safety schools for Computer Science.

GPA: 4.5 W, my school doesn’t provide unweighted GPA, Rank 4 out of 300 kids
SAT: 1530 (super score: Reading : 740, Maths:790)
ACT: N/A
SAT II’s: To be taken in June and August
APs: AP Chem and AP US History (school offers only these courses in junior year but all the courses are honors courses from 9th grade)

Are your (or you daughter’s) grades all A’s? Weighted GPA is computed dramatically differently in different high schools.

Are you in NY state?

CS is a tough major to get into at many schools. Assuming that you are in NY state, I would expect that your safeties are probably SUNY’s. Which one is best for CS would be beyond my level of expertise. UMass Amherst is also good for CS, but would be a bit more expensive assuming that you are out of state.

How far away would you want to look for matches or reaches?

Most of the grades are A and some B’s as well. All courses are honors classes which are scored out of 5 except physical education (4). I am from NJ and willing to go even to the west coast.
