Your Composite ACT is at the 50th percentile, so definitely take those again. Your math is at 25%tile.
Your SAT is below 25%tile.

See section C9 https://case.edu/ir/sites/case.edu.ir/files/2019-05/CDS%202018-2019.pdf
Did you have a particular reason that freshman year was a lower gpa? (health or family issues?)
You GPA is a little on the low side.

Case is known for pre-med and engineering so you can imagine it is competitive for those majors (although Case does not admit by major).

For a physics or engineering major, i am concerned that your math SAT/ACT scores are on the lower side compared to peers applying to CWRU.

How did you do in Calc AB?

My gpa was low freshman year because I had trouble adjusting to my school. I also focused a lot on robotics that year and it payed off since we went to Worlds, but I really screwed myself over in the long run.
Calc AB was a good class for me and I got an A in first and second semester.

I would try to up your math scores on ACT/SAT

Hello, I am also a rising senior from New Jersey looking to apply to Case in the Fall. My SAT is 1370. Math 670 EBRW 700. My GPA is a 3.0uw. I’ve recently switched schools and have had some home issues that have impacted my performance at school. For ECs, I’ve played varsity soccer, was on the track and field team, did 2 years of tech theatre, setup and ran 5 dance productions over the course of 2 years, received an honorary mention for the toshiba exploravison competition, was part of my school’s robotic program, received 2 awards for the national spanish exam 2 years in a row. I have other ECs. I have 140 hours in volunteer service at the local library and hospital. I plan to work at the local library starting senior year. I would really like to apply to Case as one of my top schools but I am worried that my profile are not good enough to be considered by admissions. Do I have a chance of being considered? Thank you in advance.

  1. Make sure your GC mentions your home issues in their recommendation letter.
  2. Your GPA is low for Case. It does not bode well... https://www.thoughtco.com/case-western-reserve-gpa-sat-and-act-data-786405
  3. ...unless you have a compelling story or other aspect that makes you stand out.
  4. What do you want to major in?
  5. Can you get help with home issues and do well next semester to show you can handle college level work?
