Chance me for DAAP, please!

I'm applying as a Graphic Communication Design major at University of Cincinnati; however, I'm a little worried because my stats aren't that high and I know that my portfolio won't be considered. Please be honest! Any and all advice is appreciated.

I'll most likely have very good recommendation letters.

NOTE: I have been suspended once. During my freshman year, I was angry with a student and wrote a post about her on my blog. It was immature, dumb, and mean. I have since come a long way, and I think that shows in my app, esp. through my leadership positions.

Cheers!

I’m confused by your posting of your weighted and unweighted GPA with 2 scores. I always thought that an unweighted gpa was the average of your letter grades without regard to whether the course was weighted as - Regular(4 point scale),Honors(5 point scale), or AP(6 point scale). In an unweighted GPA, all courses, regarless of level, use a 4 point scale. What is important is your cumulative unweighted GPA through the end of your Junior year. Your SAT, however, is very good. Without the cumulative unweighted GPA through Junior year, it is more difficult to accurately chance you. In addition, I’m not sure how they’ll weigh your suspension. I know they do ask about it on the Common App. However, again, your extra curriculars seem to mitigate that initial mistake. One last thing. I want to confirm that you are applying as a freshman, right?

What is your class rank? However, based on your SATs, I would say your chances are very good.
