This is decent you have a good chance at all of these schools but your grades might bring you down. On the other hand, NYU will certainly love you if you’re too wealthy for financial aid. Also this philosophy club sounds kind of sketchy, but best of luck. Dartmouth is a reach, U chicago is a little bit of a stretch and the rest are matches

Your GPA is closer to a 3.8 which is very good but I can’t speak to how the unis will calculate your GPA - it could be different. You certainly have a shot at all of these schools - obviously acceptance rates are much lower at your two ED schools. I do want to point out @WrathOfGod1999 - NYU is need blind, so knowing they are wealthy makes no difference.

anyway - you will have options - good luck!

It’s more of a joke you know, since their financial aid is quite bad, but either way you shouldn’t have a problem with NYU

Bump

@poppedpotato Chill out man. @cheekynandos Eyy, debate. Chicago loves debate, I’ve got a friend with a strikingly similar profile to you ED’ing to chicago, you probably know him if you’re big on the national circuit. I went to Nats in SLC last year, maybe I saw you and didn’t know it. Your ACT is strong, APs aren’t great, but maybe just don’t report them. ECs are strong, but a little bit one-sided… if you’ve got any side outside of the academic-y of music, debate, etc, like a sports team or something, maybe talk about it a little to let them know that you’re a human. Y ou’re at the point where unless you have some hidden diversity factor, it will come down to your essays.Good Luck, I think you’ve got a pretty solid shot at most of those schools.

Methinks @PoppedPotato was overcooked.

@CheekyNandos, if the Dartmouth coach is interested in you, you have a very good shot. The last time this issue came up (I believe it was a Harvard thread), there were many who disagreed, but my personal experience with D’s admissions to Dartmouth, Harvard & Georgetown spoke to the influence that certain coaches (undoubtedly not all) can have in the admissions process.
