Hi I’m thinking on applying to Dartmouth early decision this year, but I don’t know how great my chances are of getting in.
GPA: probably high 90s, I don’t know exactly
ACT: 34 (36 R, 34 E, 34 S, 33 M)
SAT II: 710 BioM, going to take US History and Math 2 in October, expecting somewhere in the 700s
AP Scores: World History (5), Biology (5), Statistics (5), US History (5), English Literature (4), Chemistry (2, I know its horrible)
Senior Classes: AP Calculus, Physics, AP Macroeconomics, AP English Language, Zoology, Drawing and Painting, Research
Extracurricular: Science Olympiads, STEM (program through local university, helps gain experience in lab), Varsity Cross Country (captain), Varsity Winter Track (captain), Varsity Spring Track, volunteering at track events and at local children’s museum, National Honor Society
Summer Activities:
- took 3D Design and Prototyping class at USC
- did computer engineering/biology research at UCSB (built microfluidic chip)
- did ecology research at SUNY Stony Brook (help build seabird database)
Demographics: female, white, upper middle class
Intended major: Engineering modified with Public Policy
If you don’t think I have a chance at Dartmouth, does anyone know any engineering school with the same liberal arts style?
