I’m hoping my extracurriculars will carry me. Thank you for your feedback!
You don’t have to put your race in your title. It is a small part of admissions criteria.
Dartmouth is generally considered a reach for everyone.
Did you include the 2 on the AP Score Section of the Common App?
Thanks, everyone. I did include the two and tied it in to the discussion in one of my essays. In addition, I put my race in the title because in today’s society, unfortunately, race is clickbait enough to draw people in, and it proved that even with 86 views, 3 people would still comment, which is an absurdly high percentage on here.
Going to be a reach since the ACT is fairly average and AP scores are so-so.
UVA for OOS is going to be a reach as well. Georgetown usually recommends 2 SAT Subject tests as well.
Where do you go? I am guessing WRA or University School?
“which is an absurdly high percentage on here.”
But were those responses really helpful if one was just to tell you that you didn’t need to include it? I’m sure you drove some responders away as I initially looked and passed on answering myself. Just posting now to correct the comment above - Georgetown actually STRONGLY recommends 3 SAT 2/subject tests. Did you not take any?
What was your essay about that you chose to talk about a 2 on an AP?
Your list is very reach heavy. In fact, all the ones you are waiting to hear from are reaches for you.
moderator’s note
I really don’t understand the whole concept behind chance threads.
You have already submitted your application. a bunch of random strangers will not be able to accurately assess your chances. The first round of likely letters will start going out shortly. then the RD results will go out.
I know that the wait can be stressful, make sure that you applied to a balanced list of schools, including an option that is financially feasible for your family. Breathe
Can’t say I appreciate the title. Being white will not detract from your application. To restate what was said, we’re not admissions counselors at these schools; we don’t know what kind of kids they’re looking for. All we can say is that you appear to be qualified save for the SAT 2s in which multiple institutions on your list encourage/strongly encourage. Good luck!! I applied to Dartmouth too!!
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Well, clickbait violates Terms of Service, so I edited it out.
