Chance me for Dartmouth?

I know you guys get these a lot! Sorry to add to the pile. I'm applying for RD because we're not sure what kind of Financial Aid package we'll get.

I'm low on APs, and I'm on the fence with my SAT scores, so please help me out a bit? (:
I'm also applying to Yale. I don't like it half as much as I like Dartmouth, but my parents are making me, soo-- possible chances for Yale, too?

**Essay: **Writing about how much I love writing outside of school, and how my general research in order to fit certain roles has impacted my previously narrow perspective on life.

**Recommendations: **Probably good. My AP Bio teacher is a sweetheart and I've been working with my Chem teacher for the Science Club for four years now.

Dartmouth is my dream school. I think I would die of joy to go there.

bump~~~~~~~~~~~

Possible but not probable. I’d choose either SAT or ACT and work to bring it up, then focus on a great application.

Re-taking the SAT in October! Hoping for a 720 on the Math section at least, which would bring it to a 2240.

Thanks c:

I’d say you have as good a shot as any competitive applicant. Ivies are a challenge no matter how incredible your stats are!

You have strong stats.

A 720 will still be below median, so unless there’s something that makes you stand out, getting in as an Asian candidate from NY with below median stats across the board is unlikely.

How many ap’s does your school offer?

@paperbackhead & anon: Thanks!

@redroses: I’m retaking the SAT. I really wish I were black.
According to collegeboard, I am in the median, but collegeboard is… well, collegeboard, so I don’t know how accurate that is.

@RADtomato: 10ish-12ish? But I didn’t qualify for two (because of scheduling), three/five are in arts/music, and another my guidance counselor advised against – ap stats – (because she’d rather I take a more ‘useful’ math course as far as my major goes).

Which leaves 5ish left out there. I know I’m on the low side, but I was rather hoping that 4 college courses would semi-make up for it.

these boards are starting to speed up like crazy
