Chance me for Davis?

I have a 3.5 UC GPA and my SAT is 2010.
SAT II’s:
US history -670
Literature- 720

I’ve played varsity volleyball for 3 years
I’ve been in my schools “spirit” club for 2 years
Ive been in Youth & Government for 2 years
I’ve also been on an educational robotics team for 2 years.
Ive had a part-time job as a race timer for 3 years.

I know the GPA is a little low, but I have a definite upward trend, also I have had very difficult family circumstances throughout my life which I wrote about in my personal statement.

Do I have a chance?

I’m a ca resident and a freshman applicant!

Sorry! I also applied as a sociology major.

I think you have a great chance! My older sister is a senior at Davis and her stats were similar to yours. She was also a ca resident.
I believe her gpa might have been a little higher but her SAT score was lower. She was also very committed to the robotics club for 3 years (officer in her last year), similar to your varsity volleyball.
She absolutely LOVES Davis. I hope you get in!

I think you’ve got a 30% chance of getting in. Your SAT is in line but GPA is well short. Nail your essay and have a backup plan with a less selective school.

Thank you for a realistic outlook @ncalrent!

My brother got in as Human Development with a 3.5 GPA and a 1700 SAT score, but that’s cause he had a strong essay and moderately nice ECs. Even with the low GPA, SAT of 2000+ is good, and your SAT IIs aren’t bad. My brother played 4 years of a sport for EC which was pretty much it, so I say you have a decent chance of getting in. But really it’s the whole package that they look at, so I wish you the best of luck.
