I'm an international student from China. I've got a 97% percentile on my ssat. I'm on the school dance team, I swim, play the piano, design, ice skate and do community service.
I get fairly good grades(actually they usually range from 85-90 on average, but that's in the top 10% of our school.)
So, do you think I have a chance?

PLEASE HELP!!I don’t want to waste my time on a school way out of my reach, and recieve nothing but disappointment!!

Your SSAT is superb, can’t get any better from your Chinese peers. Work on your essays, recommendation letters, focus on what you can do for the school, not just what the school can do for you, work on the narratives in your essays, show don’t tell, tell a riveting stories. You can beat out your competition. BTW, when did you take your SSAT?

Thank you .I took it last month, in shanghai
I’m pretty unsure right now, I’m also applying to groton and st paul’s. Also, for backup, I’m trying Blair Academy, Berkshire and Emma Willard.I’ve looked through some threads. Everyone looked liked they have flawless applications:perfect ssats, superb ecs…Nothing that I could compete with. If even they need to post a "chance me"thread…Well I guess I could always go to a public school( I’m a us citizen).

Dear julianly,
(Just curious) What school are you at now? :)
