Your stats sound pretty similar to my D’s - identical SAT with different subscores. Grades are pretty close as well. We are out of state, her hs does not weight or rank. She had no APs going into senior year, but her HS is highly competetive. She is very strong in instrumental music. Anyway, she was admitted to honors.

Try to write a strong honors essay. I thought she had a shot and encouraged her; she’s happy she did.

I agree with Pumpkin. Try to write a good and original honors essay. Also, try to push for the AP stats, if possible. My understanding is they are very interested in students who take a challenging courseload. I would also definitely take the math 1 and 2 sat 2s. My daughter took both and did much better on 2. My understanding is there is a great curve on that one. I would just try to make sure that your senior schedule is as challenging as possible without making it too difficult to handle.

I agree with lucky&blue we were told that senior schedule is one of the most important criteria used by admissions they are also looking for an upward trend in grades.
