Chance me for Dickinson?

My GPA is not as high as it could be, 3.728 (weighted, my school only calculates combined fresh/soph/junior, no part of my senior year grades will be added). However, that is because I did not do as well as I should have my freshman and sophomore years. My grades and GPA show an upward curve and from junior to the beginning of senior year, I’ve had all A’s and 1 B. I have taken many honors classes, but this is my first year taking 2 AP’s (I have A’s in both of them).
-over 120 hours of meaningful community service

-National Honor Society
-After-school Club for Special Needs Children
-Also part of a competition school-based mentoring program that has allotted me many opportunities such as;
-Educational Summer Abroad

-Community Service Summer trip
-In process of planning a Relay for Life walk at my school, I am the committee chair.

SAT Breakdown:
CR: 610
M:640
W:630
I am waiting for my SAT Subject Scores (Spanish w/ listening, math 1 and math 2)
I plan to retake the SATs in December and I have been studying very much. The program I bought ensures that I will go up 50 points minimum in each category, so I’m going to hope this works out!

Touch and go. It is unweighted GPA they look at. Higher test scores will help. They are test optional, but because your GPA is on the low end, you need to send test scores. Hit the books hard for the Dec SAT. Also, not sure what you have done to show interest, but they do care about it.

@intparent do you think applying ED II or EA will help me out? I am financially-needy so I’m worried that will hurt my chances even further

Well… they are not need blind in admissions, so it could reduce your chances no matter which round you apply in. And technically they do not meet need (I think they say they target meeting 96% of need). What does the net price calculator on the website show you? And does their website say whether Dec SAT scores will be received in time for EA or EDII application consideration?
