I applied Early Decision for the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. Please let me know what you think my chances are… anything is appreciated.

GPA: 3.95/4.00 (unweighted)
SAT: 2090 (740 Writing, 670 Math, 680 Reading) all in one sitting, not super-scored
AP Scores: 5 on AP English Lang, 5 on AP US History
SAT II Scores: 680 on US History

Gender: Female
Race: White (I didnt specify on application though)
Location: New Jersey
I attend a very prestigious all-girls private school
Not first generation or anything

Activities/Leadership:
-Founder of Zen Club at my school
-President of Social Committee
-Member of Presidents Council
-Captain of Mock Trial
-Key Club Tour Guide
-Ethics program, 3x participant and winner of awards
-Adaptive Aquatics swim instructor
-Work at an ice cream parlor
-Field Hockey: V and JV captain
-Swimming: V; most improved

Current Course load:
-AP Macroeconomics
-AP Physics I
-AP Spanish Language
-AP English Literature
-Honors Precalculus
-Intensive Performance/Theater Class

Strengths:
-I talked about my interest in their Ethics Institute and my ethical research and experience
-Amazing teacher recommendations
-Incredible personal essay
-super involved in my community (my school!)
-leadership !!

Weaknesses:
-Test scores :frowning:
-Im only in precalc (because I had to take 3 months off of school for medical reasons and fell behind on my math my sophomore year)

I think because of your SAT, (great score, but low for Duke), that you will get deferred. But you are a strong candidate so will have many choices come April

I disagree! Yes, your scores could be better, but you have a lot going for you. Make sure you’ve demonstrated interest, maybe email your admissions rep with a question or something. As long as you explained the medical thing I think you have a decent (not assured, but decent) chance of getting in!
