anyone? bump

First of all: Don’t bump after 20 minutes. That’s ridiculous. Wait a couple days first then bump it.

Now to chance you. Your academics are in par with Duke and you don’t really have any weaknesses there. You are obviously challenging yourself. Your awards are very impressive, especially Siemens. As for your other ECs, I can tell they are mostly in line with your potential major and you know what you want to do. The fact that you have done research is impressive, but why was it only for 6 weeks? Did you even do very much in that time? Also how independent was your research?

Anyways, Duke ED is a high match and RD is a low reach. Good luck!

Please chance me back. I am applied to Duke ED. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1561842-chance-me-duke-ed-will-chance-back-within-24-hours.html#post16449634

The young scholars program (YSP) only lasted for six weeks so that was the only period of time I had to get some productive research experience. In fact, my Siemens project was based off the research I did at YSP. I’m not sure what exactly you mean by independent. Do you mean to ask if I came up with the project idea myself? Then the answer to that is no. However, I have contributed towards the goal of the research project.

By independent I mean did you do most of the research, or were you helping a mentor of yours?

Well the first week I was guided towards the goal of the project but after that I was on my own.

ED: good chance
RD: probably somewhat better than average

I take it you go to a fairly strong HS…stats like that are very rare at my (rather weak) HS…
