Thank you.

Additionally, I was nominated for the Pogue scholarship evincing that my diversity essay is particularly standout. Does anyone know how much Duke values diversity and whatnot?

bumppppppp

Tbh, Duke is not socioeconomically diverse…financially privileged kids abound. Being an AA female is a major advantage and might be enough for you to get in because of your SAT even though your gpa doesn’t look great. But it’s still not a walk-in.

I think being a URM from North Carolina will definitely help you. From what I can tell, Duke seems to give some advantage to instate applicants. You seem like a very well-rounded applicant; I think you’ve got a great chance of getting in.

Bumpppppppppp

URM def. helps. Scores are okay, EC’s are okay-weak…you have a chance (45-55%?) though I would guess that for Robertson its closer to 20-25%.
