How were your essays?

I mean, I don’t know who would submit an essay that they didn’t think was good…
I liked my essays, but I’m sure everyone likes their essays… so I feel like there’s too much of a subjective basis if I told you that I liked my essays

But let’s go on the premise that they were good. How are my chances?

Well yeah, but were they just good, or were they the best things you’ve ever written in your life? Neverminding them, your stats are where they need to be (I’m. Assuming your at least top 10% of you class right?). Your ecs are good, you have a lot of leadership. They also are consistant. Then again if you say they represent your interests, your essays will probably be good. Overall, even with your orm status, you have an awsome shot. This is especially true if you are in state, but even if you are out of stare, you’ll still likely get in.

Yes, I’m definitely in the top 10% of my class (my school doesn’t rank). I am also out-of-state, unfortunately.

Thanks!

Can anyone else chance me?

^^ I didn’t know Duke favored in-state applicants over out-of-state applicants – can they even though they’re not a state school?

I don’t think it’s a major advantage, but I often find that colleges accept a higher number from areas around them than they would normally. But maybe it’s because more people apply from those areas to schools nearby than to farther schools.
