<p>Hey guys~ I'll be so grateful if you can take sometime to help me out with this.
I'm an international student. I'm from China and I study in Shanghai.
Here's the thing.</p>

<p>SAT CR690/M800/W740=2230 (Superscored)
SAT2 M800/PHY800/CHE800=2400
TOEFL 28+27+26+29=110
AP CALCULUS BC 5, CALCULUS SUBSCORE 5, PHYB 5,BIO 4(My school doesn't have AP courses actually, so I self learn)
GPA 80/100</p>

<p>EC listed:
I have a research paper conducted on the waste gas, generally about chemical engineering, and it also comes out to be a national patent.
Second prize in National Biology Olympiad
Deputy Director in the publish director in Students goverment
Leader of School Biology club and a honor society
volunteer in science and technology museum
Piano & Takwondo (got high certification)
Fieldtrip to several chemical plant, an an internship of two months in summer in a Carbon Fiber factory</p>

<p>Financial: not applying for FA
Major: Chemical engineering or Biological engineering</p>

<p>I've also have JHU and NU on my list... I love biology and engineering.
And I find Duke just my taste! Chance me!!

<p>You will certainly need to explain where your GPA 80/100 fits in the difficulty of your school’s grading. Do you know your class rank?</p>

<p>Publishing and getting a patent will certainly help you stand out, but it is hard to accurately chance international students.</p>

<p>yea I see my GPA as a problem and is really concerned about that…
I think I’ll make some explanation about it(our school is a really hard one) on it somewhere in the common app.
