<p>You have decent standardized test scores and good GPA/ rank. However, your problem is, </p>

<li><p>attending a less competitive school and </p></li>
<li><p>not taking the most rigorous coursework while going there. </p></li>
</ol>

<p>These two factors may raise questions about your preparedness to handle coursework at a highly competitive school like Duke. For these reasons, I would say, Duke is a reach. If you have a hook, such as first person in the family attending a college etc., then you stand a better chance.</p>
