OK. it seems like you have a fairly good chance of getting in to those schools, but remember schools like duke/upenn deny more than half of high school valedictorians. That being said, the best measure of your chances is to see how the past students from your school have done. If you go to a school with on average, 3 students each going harvard, princeton, yale, stanford, penn, then I’d say you have a great chance of getting in to your top schools. But if you go to a school where only the top 3-5 students get into those types of schools, then you’re chances are much lower. You can usually look these stats up on your school website. Since I have no idea about the rigor of your program, I cant comment on whether your class rank/gpa is competitive or not. Your test scores are great, but that’s only one piece . But the good thing is that your grades definately wont keep you out. Did you only take two APs your junior year? That is kind of low, unless your school doesnt offer that many AP courses. Then it doesnt matter. You just shoudl take close to the most amount of advanced courses your school offers. Say it offers 15 courses. You should fit in 10-12. If it offers 8. Then 2 your junior year, and 3-4 seniior year is fine. At this point, it’s all about showing you’re a well rounded student, with a passion for learning at this point, through your essays/letters or recs/extracirriculars/diversity (and diversity can mean many more things than just race). Oh and this is advice for Duke/penn/columbia. You have much higher chances for washu/chicago/dartmouth.
good luck!
