" http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1571002-what-you-putting-your-additional-information-section.html</a> " might interest you.

He/She clearly says that you should not write an essay in the Additional Info section.

~ Best Of Luck
I’m applying to Cornell ED too ^_^

@Ghost95, I saw the thread. The thing is, this is vital info to my application. I just could not leave it out and there was no other place to put it on my application.

I am considering the primary/alternate admission method with AEM/ILR because of my interest in psychology. (Both AEM and ILR give me the option to supplement business with psychology in some form or the other), How do my chances fair with regards to ILR ? would i be better off making that my Primary?

The alternate admission method rarely works out for anyone; the application isn’t passed often if you get rejected at your primary college.

Your chance is as good as any (it’s a reach), but Dyson in particular is very competitive…I think it has somewhere around a 10%-12% acceptance rate (not sure about early, probably a little higher). Your SAT IIs / uw GPA are a little on the lower end but there’s nothing you can do about it now, so don’t fret over it.

Don’t apply to a different college as your primary for a higher acceptance rate; if you feel that AEM is your best choice, then apply there.

Also, you really really really shouldn’t write an entire essay in the Additional Info section. That isn’t what it’s for. If you want, put a brief description in, but keep it well… brief. I highly doubt they want to read another 500 words when they didn’t ask for it.
