my school is Arcadia High School, I think is pretty competitive

i really think you need a higher CR score…and you’re overall SAT score is not as competitive as the others. but your gpa looks okay
do you have any leadership position?
i think you have a decent shot at nyu especially when its ED.
chance me back?

Hi Hirano123, I am a Secretary of chinese club, and I hop ED can bring me more chance…

NYU is my dream school,so really wanna to get in

@yidingshao, I would say you’re reaching for NYU. That UW GPA is pretty bad and it’s kind of up and down. Also your SAT score is kind of not that great. It would be among the worst of admitted NYU students. In addition, I would not say your ECs are that great either. It’s probably not going to happen. What I’m curious about is how you only got a 730 on your SAT math section. You said you immigrated from China 3 years ago so I would imagine you should get a 800 on math since the preparation for math in China is simply so much better. If English is still somewhat of a struggle for you right now, the only real chance you had at NYU, even as a math major, would be to have scored perfectly on the SAT math section and then got a really strong GPA. In your case, you were going to try to ride a serious strength into a university that is generally above someone that has performed similar to you. But the problem for you is that you aren’t stronger in math than the general NYU applicant. I’m sorry but you should probably look at lower schools and then transfer into NYU if you are still interested.

yes that why I applied ED,,,,it is my dream。。sat1 math is harder, I got 800 on math 2c…I will try 800, 700,500 on dec test…

anyway, thank you
