Chance me for ED Dartmouth

Hi guys,

So I was thinking about applying ED to Dartmouth. I've been really scared with all the apps I've been seeing in this thread, especially the admitted ones! I don't seem to have the same grades or the innumerable leadership positions. However, I really like my extracurriculars and test scores. Any way, please help me out!

Extra Curriculars:
1) Research with Professor at Princeton University: This is definitely my hook. This professor at PU took me on as an aid in her lab. I work with her and her graduate students on multiple projects. She is also writing a recommendation letter (supplemental) (Grades 11 and 12)
2) A2Z Mentoring Program (100 Hours): This is a local mentoring program. I both mentor and am in the Teen Committee. Unfortunately, this is my only leadership position and I feel as if that is really going to hurt me. (Grades 10, 11, 12)
3) Volunteering at the Franklin Institute (300 Hours): The Franklin Institute is a museum located in Philadelphia and is one of the best known museums on the East Coast. I work on the floor and interact with the visitors. (Grades 10, 11, 12)
4) Volunteering at the University Medical Center at Princeton (80 Hours): I started volunteering here at the start of my junior year. I am very involved in my department and all the nurses there love me! (Grades 11, 12)
5) Baseball: I played baseball at my school for 3 years. I was on JV for my sophomore and junior years. (No letter) (Grades 9,10,11,12)
6) National Honors Society: I just got in and I really love it! It seems like so much fun! (Grade 12)

Leadership:
1) Program Manager on the Teen Committee in the A2Z Mentoring Program.

Awards:
1) A2Z Presidential Award for Mentoring
2) Silver Level Presidential Volunteer Service Award at the Franklin Institute
3) NMSQT Semifinalist
4) AP Scholar with Distinction

Essays:
Both my teachers really liked me but my AP Calculus AB teacher told me several times that I am his favorite student . I have already written my college essay and I really like it. I have gone in to talk to my guidance counselor several times and she loves me. Also, my Princeton University Professor has told me that she would write me a recommendation letter.

THANKS A LOT EVERYONE! I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HELP!

Sorry, but the only answer that anyone can give you here is that you might get in and you might not, and the answer is the same for almost everyone else posting a chance me thread. The process is subjective, and no one here is reading your entire folder and comparing it against the other applicants. To get a better idea, seek help rom your guidance counselor of he or she is savvy, and if not, find a professional counselor who is savvy to give you the guidance on where to apply. The general advice is to apply if you’re in range and you’re interested, and also to apply to many other schools.

EarthPig is, of course, correct.

I will say that you have a very personable and positive style here, and if that personality comes across in your application I think it will help you.

Don’t forget the peer rec, BTW.

Thank you guys! Are there any other opinions out there please?
