Essays: Pretty good. Talked about why I made the choice to transfer high schools 1hr away from my house in freshmen year. For supplement, talked about my concern for public health through my involvement in the Drugs and Alcohol Society, and about why I love Biology in general.

Recommendations: Amazing, Mandarin and Chemistry teacher

Awards: Merit Awards for academic excellence, math awards (top 25%), finalist for a 5000 dollar grant in a competition for a local charity

Do I have a chance? SAT Score for math is a bit low considering I’m not even bad at math…

For reference, I am an Asian student, and attend one of the the top private schools in my country

You’re asking kinda late. You know we get results tomorrow, right? But if it helps with your anxiety, I would say you’re a strong candidate. You compare nicely with others who have applied. But that’s also the problem. There are literally 5,000 ED applicants and all of them have similar or some variation of your profile. I’m sorry I can’t be more encouraging, it’s just that all of us are very nervous hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Your math shouldn’t be an issue since it’s not the most important thing about your major, and it’s not a bad score either. It’s hard to get an 800. As long as your essays and recommendations are strong, you have a decent chance. Good luck tomorrow.
