Chance me for ED/RD?

I'm most likely going to apply to either brown or dartmouth ED, so please chance me for ED or for RD as I'm not sure which school I'm going to ED for.

Would my chances differ much if I applied RD instead?

No, you should not bother retaking Math. That’s obsessive! Never saw an ACT score w/ decimals. Any SAT I?

haha =p, nope haven’t taken the SAT I (i may consider it though), also i’m first generation (for going to college) idk how much that’ll help

Your chances would be the same ED or RD. Shoot for a minimum 34 and you have a shot, especially if you’re not from an overrepresented state.

@ hmom5: does that mean that it is not an advantage to ED (compared to RD) for Dartmouth ?

ACT scores come with decimals…? I’ve never taken that test, but I know people who have… and they all got nice, whole numbers.

If you’re doing ED to boost your chances, take a step back and see if you really want to commit to a school that much. It sounds as though you’re undecided between Dartmouth and Brown. If you don’t feel a strong pull towards one or the other, you might be better suited for applying to both RD.
As for your debate nomination… I wouldn’t unless you were actually named best speaker. With regards to chess – hopefully, you find out whether or not you’re captain before you apply to colleges. That way, you’re completely sure of your leadership role.
You guys have a Spanish NHS? Nice.
Don’t retake the Math SAT II. You’re probably good as long as you’re 700+. Just make sure to take the USH one, as Dartmouth (and Brown, I think) both require 2 SAT II tests.
First-gen helps, although who knows how much. You should retake the ACT and take the SAT if you have time. Some people are better at one test, while others are better at the other.

Jeez you guys are dense… in actuality, he got a 32.25 (averaging all the section scores) - this score is reported as a 32. Likewise, a 31.5 would be reported as a 32, even though the individual scores each wouldn’t be as high.
