Hey guys! This is my first post on here. I'm going to apply ED to CAS. I never thought about having Penn on my list, but after my visit I fell in love. I absolutely adore Penn and would do anything to go there. I am overly anxious.

Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Hispanic and Asian
Background: Middle Class

I am fluent in 5 languages.
My teacher recommendations will be flawless; all of my teachers said that I am the best in their career. My CommonApp essay is excellent as well.

Major: International Relations and Economics/Arabic

First thing that jumps out is test scores. But I believe you’re community service and background strengthen your app

Good idea to apply ED if you’re sure about Penn being your 1st choice. It’s a coin toss at best for everyone, so take the comments you’ll get with a grain of salt. Just make sure you spend a fair amount of time on your essays and really show yourself in them.

Looks like you have a reasonable shot, especially given that you’re part URM.

Strengths in your above points:
—Multiple language fluency
—Part Hispanic, which is a URM
—Leadership + commitment to organizations

Weaknesses in your above points:
—Top 7% of class seems a touch low; most are in top 5%
—2020 on the SAT is borderline
—All 4’s / no 5’s on your AP tests

Here’s last incoming class test profile for 25th to 75th percentile…and I’m guessing that the lower quartile that isn’t shown here is likely made up of a fair % legacy or athlete or? :

Testing Means for the Middle 50 Percent of Enrolled Students
(25th-75th percentiles)

TEST RANGE
SAT: Critical Reading 680-770
SAT: Math 700-790
SAT: Writing 690-790
ACT Composite 31-34

are you going to apply for huntsman?

I was initially going to apply to Huntsman but I think I have a better chance at CAS!

go for engineering
