Chance Me for ED??? Will Chance Back

Someone please chance me?? I’m a rising senior and will be applying to colleges next year. I’ll chance you back! I feel like my stats are pretty good, but my EC’s are definitely not the best. Still, do you think that if I apply ED, I could still have a chance? I’m aware that being Asian does not help things. Also, I’m not sure if I am an international student or not. I’ve lived in the U.S. for 12 years now, but due to parents changing jobs, we had to start over on the greencard process so I am technically a Chinese citizen but on the way to a greencard. Does anyone know how this would affect my chances are colleges?? I’ve tried looking up info online, but haven’t really found much. Will I be competing against the international students, or am I in the same pool as Americans. Big difference because I have no chance in competing with the people from China, who’ve won international math competitions/played at Carnegie Hall.

Probably will be good. My parents hired a college consultant for me, she’s worked in the admissions offices at Ivy Leagues so hopefully she knows what will make my application/essays stand out.

Hooks:

I don’t think your ECs are bad at all! I’m sure your consultant will tell you this, but I think one way to highlight your ECs and make you stand out is figure out which of them you’re most passionate about, and write about that in one of your essays. Be honest about it, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable. As for your stats, they’re great. I don’t think it would hurt you to apply as an econ major, especially if that’s really what you want to do. The fact that you took the classes online shows that you’re passionate about the topic and makes you seem like you’re truly interested in studying econ. I think it would help you stand out.

I’m a rising senior as well, you can look at my stats on my chance me post. It’s so terrifying to be in this waiting stage
