You have an extremely great chance of getting in (nothing is a guarantee of course). My D17’s friend who got in RD has significantly lower stats than yours, across the board. I feel very confident for you.
thank you! I’m just worried that my SAT score is too low
If it makes you feel better, my SAT score was 1940 (on the old scale) which was lower than average, but my EC’s were similar/slightly fewer leadership positions and I was accepted ED for class of 2019. I think you will have a strong application.
Do you think it would be better to apply ED 2 or should i still apply ED 1??
My SAT was 1340 on the new scale, I had a very similar number of EC’s and I got in for RD Class of 2021. Your stats are really really good and with a really good Short essay, you’ll be fine. Although, with applications, you can’t really be sure but you have a very strong chance of getting in. ED1 is fine…GOODLUCK!
You’ll have a much better chance if you do ED1, this year ED1 had a 42% acceptance rate, while ED2 only had a 13% acceptance rate.

I would say BU is a Match/ Very Low Reach for you even for RD. You have a big hook.
A 1370 is equivalent to a 29 ACT. URM applicants realistically only have to aim for the 25% or the 25-75% range.
So I think you should aim higher, maybe UMich, UVA, Wake Forest, BC, U Rochester, and NYU. Disregard if you really think BU is a great fit.
If you apply ED1 to USC or maybe even Emory you have a 20-30% shot in my opinion.
Is your 4.18 gpa weighted or unweighted?? and what is out of?
@prospect_15 hi, so if i maintain my grades for the rest of this school year, I’ll end with a 4.22 weighted GPA. so it will go up a lot! My school doesn’t tell us our unweighted gpa, but if i calculated it right, it would be a 3.7.
