Thank you so much!!

I’d say your chances are very good. Your stats are above the average for Elon, and you have lots of extra-curriculars. Elon loves kids who are active and involved in their community, beyond academics.

You will be accepted… With one big exception… You MUST Visit, preferably attend some classes and MOST importantly explain to Elon why you want to attend…

If you “just send in an application” you will look like one of “those applicants” who is only applying to say they got in and is doing the same thing to 20 other schools… Elon spends a lot of time putting together a unique class of students each year and they want to know right from the start that you have investigated Elon enough to be able to tell them whats unique about Elon and why you would fit in…

Every year you will hear several very qualified students being astounded that they were rejected by Elon, and almost always it’s because they thought Elon should care more about who they were than how they could add to the Elon community…

I agree that you must show demonstrated interest by visiting and/or attending any receptions you are invited to. Anytime you come incontact with admissions counselors ask questions. Maybe they will remember you.

I had very similar stats to yours, visited Elon, wrote good essays for them, etc, etc, etc and got deferred first deadline. I didn’t send my midyear grades because I found out that I got into UNC, UGA and was up for scholarships at Appalachian before mid year grades were due. But, at the same time, I had friends with stats almost identical to mine who got offered scholarships at Elon. So…yeah, it could go either way.
