Chance me for Emory?

GPA: 3.56 UW, 4.04 W
SAT: 570 math, 730 reading, 660 writing (planning on retaking this after my prep class this summer)
7 honors classes (out of 10), 7 APs (out of 10), w/ an interest in science, history, english, and the performing arts

I know my GPA seems really low, but on the bright side my counselor told me I'm near the top of my class! (Avg weighted for class is ~3.0)
Intended major: Anthropology/something somewhat history related??

It’s not going to be easy. Your GPA is going to hurt unless you had a strong upward trend and/or go to a very competitive/difficult high school, there doesn’t seem to be anything special in your ECs, and that 570 in SAT math has to go. It’s not impossible, and don’t get discouraged by all of the Ivy League shoe-ins who post all over this website, but it will take some work to have a good chance of getting in. Fleshing out your ECs and essays to showcase your interests may help, and applying ED1 and/or to Oxford always makes it easier. Good luck!
