I think you will be a competitive anywhere and that many of these schools will be matches.

You are a very competitive applicant for the UC’s and SDSU Honors. All the UC’s are possible and SDSU Honors would be a solid safety with a high chance for the Weber Honor’s Scholarship.

Consider UCLA/UCB Reach schools but you are definitely in the running. I am sure you will have many options from which to choose so Best of luck.

@Gumbymom and @momofsenior1 thanks for the chance… I was just wondering if the UCs admit by major, because I am worried that they will look at my admissions much more harshly due to me aiming to major in mechanical engineering

For Engineering, all UC’s and Cal states admit by major. UCI and UCSD admit into university first and then into the major so there is always a chance you are admitted but not into your first choice major.
