MIT 1% chance of getting in. UMICH: 10% chance of getting in.; avg GPA for engineering is a 3.9 with an avg ACT score of 31 and an average SAT score over 2100. UT- Austin is a match/slight reach and Texas A &M is a match/saftey. Bring up your SAT score and work on your EC’s and essays. UC Berkeley: 10% chance of getting in. Probably a rejection there.

Thanks Entertainer! I’ll make sure to bring up SATs and write good essays. Btw, will it be okay that even though I have few ECs, I show passion in all of them? I’ve received many awards from all and will probably receive more this year.

I’m sorry!!! You chanced me, but I can’t chance you back because I don’t really know the schools that you’re applying to! UC-Berkeley seems like a reach to anyone who’s not instate, MIT as well. I say you’re in at Texas A&M. I’m not too sure about U of Michigan or UT Austin.

Good luck and raise your SAT score! ECs seems a little on the weak side. Good luck with your AP classes!

I think you WILL have a great shot at them, but from what I could deduce, you are currently going to be a Junior, and honestly, it’s rather hard to chance someone when they don’t have accurate SAT scores

right now you have low reaches for all the school you want to apply to. in order to have a chance you would definately have to bump up that SAT score to be competitive especially for uc berkeley and u mich because your oos. make sure to have more ec’s and volunteering because they seem very little. do well in those ap classes so you can bring up your weighted and unweighted gpa.

If you want good chances at Berkeley and Michigan, and a small chance at MIT, you really need to get that UW GPA up. And it looks as though you have plenty of time to get your SAT up, so shoot for 2100 and you should have some decent chances.

MIT is a really far reach as of now. I would say retake SAT and even take ACT alot of people find one easier than the other. U of Michigan usually sees more ACT score anyways since that is the preferred test in Michigan. If you get a bit higher test score I can say that you will probably have a good chance at many of the schools on your list. As others have said, it is hard to judge with a whole year left until you get a more accurate picture of what is going on. In the next year, try to raise your GPA and take the tests after the new year so they will more acurately express the knowledge you know, but still give you time to bring them up if need be. Try to keep up the good work and I’m sure you’ll get into a school that you’ll be really happy about. Good luck!
