Chance me for Engineering Please

So Im interested in going to school for Engineering, for Fall 2010. I am a rising senior right now and I am wondering what schools would be good matches for me and my SATs, GPA, etc that I could get a decent engineering degree at.

SATs: 1920: (CR 720) (M 610) (W 590)
GPA: 3.65 W
SAT2s: (US hist 700) (MATH2 510 yeah, ouch. should i retake?)

3 years cross country, 1 year lacrosse. Leadership positions in clubs, mentoring programs.
No community service.

I come from a large, competitive public high school in southern california, and I would say im in the top 20% of my class.

I know that my stats arent awesome, do I even have a chance at getting into Northeastern for engineering?

If you were from MA, I’d say UMass (in-state). Since you’re from CA, try Cal-Davis and Cal-Santa Barbara.

If you’re less concerned with costs, then NEU and BU would work great if you want to come to Boston.

If you’re concerned with reputation which your “decent engineering degree” statement implies, go to a source like [Rankings - Best Engineering Schools - Graduate Schools - Education - US News and World Report](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/rankings/) to help you come up with a more substantial list.

No way UC Davis or SB with those SAT scores. Sorry…
You might have a shot at NEU since they actually want kids from outside of New England.
Are finances a consideration? It’s expensive and particularly when you add in travel. You probably won’t see merit aid with those scores.

I had similar scores on SAT, similar GPA and less EC’s and I got in w/ a 10k Dean scholarship as well. I think you have a good shot but try to get it up, every bit helps in the end.

Def retake your SAT II math
