Help me please…
I would like to know if my scores are less for Purdue…
I am ready to write SAT 1 again.
Also I will be applying for admission for Fall 2011(Currently in 11th)

I think your stats are fine, but just in case just retake it for your sake.

I’d retake your SAT and make sure you have a good rest of your year. And then you’ll be fine.

Thanks for the replies guys…
Now since you have advised me to retake the SAT, can you please tell me which section should I concentrate in?

Also does Purdue consider SAT writing score?
I have received an 8 on essay out of 12.

What is the average CR+Math score in Purdue for Engineering?
Also please give a breakdown of the middle 50% of the students admitted to Purdue.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they consider your Writing score now. If your going for Engineering and your an Int’l student, then I wouldn’t that much in regards to your Writing/CR score. You just need to have a high math score and an average CR score.

If you got an 8/12 on the essay, try to do better on the multiple choice and raise your overall writing score 50 points? Your CR score seems fine but raising it to 600 would help your chances a lot more. Math score is fine also but like CR, it helps to raise it if you could. Not sure about the average Math+CR score for FYE, but I’m pretty a majority of students have at least a 650+ on Math.

According to their website, the average of the Fall 2009 Class was:
Size of class: 6,171 (22.68% Accepted)
Number of applications: 27,213
Overall average high school class rank: Top 19%
Middle 50% high school GPA range: 3.3-3.9
Middle 50% SAT range: 1530-1880
Middle 50% ACT composite range: 23-29
Middle 50% ACT English/Writing range: 22-27
High School Class Rank
Students in top 10% 35%
Students in top 25% 70%

Well, according to purdue, your CR is average, however your M score is way over the average. So I guess you’re in.
